TfTD – The Picture

This picture represents the fulfillment of a bucket list.

Do you have a bucket list?  Whether we call it that or not, most of us have one.  It is a list of things that we want to do before we pass on to our eternal destination.  It usually includes choice vacations and other things that we want to accomplish.

Do you remember Simeon in the Gospel of Luke.  Seeing Jesus was on his list and he saw him.

So the picture is part of my bucket list.  I wanted to run in a marathon and get that nice little medal that says that I ran.  There it is.  I did it.  Viola!  I did not run the entire marathon; just the 5K portion.  Let me tell you how it came about.

I like to jog.  It’s good therapy for me.  So, in the Crocodile Dundee movie, Dundee went on what he called a, “walkabout.”  It’s a very long walk.  So one Saturday morning I felt particularly good and I went on a runabout.  When I finally looked at the runkeeper on my cellphone it said that I had run almost 12 miles.  Since that is practically a half a marathon I thought I would at least run the 5K in the Rock ‘n Roll marathon.

So this picture is part of my bucket list.  A lot of people have bucket lists.  I find that mine gets smaller as I get older but, God favors prominently in my bucket list.  Right now I am in Seminary working on another degree and I love it.  Perhaps I will have another picture during graduation.

The point about accomplishing bucket list is that we can do them.  And we can do them one step at a time, so let me close this TfTD and get to class because graduation happens one class at a time.

God bless.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way” (Psalm 37:23).

      P. S. My bucket list was to walk on Dr.
Martin Luther King’s celebration. I did it last year with one of my girl friends, I got her to walk with me. Well just let me tell ya it was some kind of cold but we made history.

      1. That’s so wonderful Sis. Walker that you were able to do the walk. I’ll bet that the col weather helped to keep all the walkers moving. Also thanks for the encouragement. A friend of mine called me and told me that he first needed a bucket. LOL!
