I have heard several television evangelist talk about a breakthrough. If you want to get a congregation on the same page with you, just talk to them about getting their breakthrough. It plays well to our spiritual desires. Since I do not follow the average path of that most preachers follow, the breakthrough button is not a button that I push when I am sermonizing. But let’s look at it anyway.
The most revolutionary breakthrough, i.e., the one that tops all others that I have ever experienced happened when I found myself at a crossroads and I embraced Jesus as my Savior. It changed everything for me. I broke through self-destructive behaviors. No longer would I walk past the church with alcohol in my system; I would go in the church and I would sit and listen for every morsel of Word that I could find. It fixed my inferior ego problem and corrected my sense of self, and made me appreciate the unique person that God made me to be. It pointed me in the direction of my purpose.
WOW! talk about a breakthrough; I learned to love my enemies and pray for those who scandalize me. I would learn to say, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
The breakthrough came with the gift of faith in God that would take me through some very difficult times. Coming into a saving relationship with God was my most significant breakthrough.
John the Revelator said, in Revelations 3:20
”Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone opens the door, I will come in and sup with him and he with Me.”
Therefore, we have but to open the door of our hearts to embrace Christ as Savior. That will be our most significant breakthrough.

So true ! Coming to genuine acceptance of Jesus is the breakthrough we all need, and the one that leads to eternal life. Thanks for sharing. 🤗
