TfTD – The Current Heat Wave

It is early in the morning and I just finished drinking my first bottle of water. It is part of what I do to deal with the current heat wave. They say that it is the worst wave of heat in the northeastern part of the states in 3 years.

I reminds me of how miserable this place called, “hell”, is going to be, only worst. There is an indication from the story in Luke 16:19-31 that water must be almost non-existent. Also, it seems that, in hell, empathy is non-existent. Empathy? WOW! That’s another subject. Look. I am not trying to get political but my heart does go out to those children at the southern border. But there is going to be no empathy the hell.

Anyway, I don’t believe in scaring people into excepting Christ. I believe the right motivation for accepting Him comes out of an appreciation for God and an appreciation for the things that He designed us for.

So, in light of this heat wave, my advice is to take a deep breath, pray, receive Christ, kiss your loved ones, go out into the world and live a life of empathy and selfless love.

We’ll get to the deeply theological stuff later on.

Yes. That was a common tactic that was employed to get people to receive Christ when I was growing up and I would not say that it is wrong. After all, what do I know. However, I will say that motivation is key.
