What About You This Year?

When David said, “The Lord is my Shepherd”, he was only speaking for himself. My question is, “What about you?” There comes a time when each person must speak for themselves.

David, also knew that it was more than mere speech. It is quite easy to talk. If God was David’s shepherd, that means that God told him what to do and he actually did it. In order to close the Divine loop that God makes available to us this year we must say it, not so much is words, but at least in personal resolve, and then do it.

Here is praying that you have a Godly year, this year.

  1. Once again, you are right up on it. With all of the sermons, bible studies, etc. it is still amazing that many of us don’t understand that even though God created us we are not finished products. We still need him to complete us. Even with his goodness and mercy, there are things that can happen that we will never understand. One of the poems that I wrote is called : I TAUGHT YOU HOW TO DRIVE. Even though I have been driving for a while if I don’t adhere to certain things while driving, I can get more than lost. I was almost killed last night while driving. I wasn’t texting or on the phone. While turning the radio down, the car in front of me slammed on the brakes. I missed him by inches as did the car in the back of me. Yes the Lord is my Shepard.

  2. I was not hurt. Fortunately I was awakened. I have been telling friends and family, with my little humor that a lot of us fantasize about what the voice of God is like. A lot of times we assume that it has clear verbiage with soft music playing in the background. I say that some times it sounds like Mr. T from the A Team. It sounds like, “Hey Fool………….What did I just tell you yesterday’. I am fortunate that God has given all of us more than one chance to get it right. Even though I am basically a good guy who obeys laws, I was wrong. I need to wake up and follow the lead of the Shepherd.

  3. I asked a charismatic friend of mine if he has ever heard the voice of God. He emphatically answered, “Yes”. He wasn’t prepared for my next question. I said, “What did He sound like?” He said, “ uh-uh-uh.” Then he managed to concoct an answer stating that He sounded like uh-uh a low hum. I didn’t carry it any further than that. I will tell what the voice of God sounds like to me, sometimes. It sounds like my pastor, or Rev John MacArthur, or Chuck Swindoll, or Tony Evans when they are earnestly preaching the Word of God and not the philosophy of men. In other words, I listen to them as of the voice of God.
