I wrote an essay this morning where I used the word, “frightened”.
My eyes focussed on the word. It seemed as if my eyes had zoomed in on the word. I had written the word and read it hundreds of times. But this time, I saw something in it that I had never seen before. I saw another in that word. It never find its way into the dictionary but it is there.
Have you ever thought about how it reads if you simply take the, “F”, off of it? That’s right. “Frightened”, becomes, “Rightened”.
Often, we fear something because there is something wrong either in the thing we fear, or it is wrong in us. The way to remove the fright is to remove the “f” from the word. We right whatever causes us to fear.
Our Lord says that perfect love casteth out fear. (1 John 4:18)
God bless.
