This is for both titled and untitled people who pastor in any kind of way.
”A Pastor is a jack of all trades and a master of some.”
It is not true that a Pastor is a jack of all trades and a master of none. He or she is a jack of all trades but a master of, “some”. They are masters by virtue of the gifts that God gives them if they develop them to their fullest potential.
A pastor is one who leads. Years ago, my cousin lost his sight for a while. His wife took him by the hand and led him where he needed to go. The picture of this self-sufficient man being led by his wife was humbling. However, it got him where he needed to be.
Each of us has a specialty that we are encouraged to discover. That specialty says that we are valuable. We are useful to God and each other.
Remember this: “It is not in the easiest of times that gifts emerge. They emerge in the roughest of times.” Take your gift and use it for God’s glory and man’s benefit.
“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” (1 Cor. 12:28-10)
