Another TfTD From Message on Signs and Wines

At the wedding in Cana, in John 2:1-12 they ran out of wine.  Wine was essential.  I thought about how God designed life so that we would run out of many things, even essential things.

I think that perhaps He designed it that way so that we could learn to depend on Him and each other.  Everybody experiences running out something.  At this very moment, something is running out.  October is almost over.  What happened?  It ran out and I took a lesson from it.

Yesterday, I woke up with the thought that October is almost over and what did I get done this month?  Did I try to introduce anyone to  Jesus by showing a genuine interest in them first?  Did I get to know God Better?  Did I show empathy to anyone and did I befriend them?  What did I do?  What did I get done?  It is true that we run out of many things in life.  Some of them are essential and it can sometimes be embarrassing, but here’s another takeaway from this TfTD.

When you have done the best that you can and you still run out of something that is essential, don’t be embarrassed.  If you have done the best you can and you still run out, then God is probably up to something.  So don’t be embarrassed.  Be emboldened.

Say to yourself what hymn writer said, who wrote:

”I will trust in the Lord.

I will trust in the Lord.

I will trust in the Lord, til I die.

PS:  I was accused of coping out of a silly argument.  I don’t cop out.  I just choose to be wise in how I spend my time.  God bless and I love you.
