I know! It’s been a while since I wrote a TfTD. I have been on vacation and doing some other things, trying to be useful. Speaking of, “useful”, it is a servants vocation and calling to be effective in his service. And 2 Pet. 2:8 tells us that if we grow in the qualities that are listed in verses 5-7, we will be powerful instruments in God’s service.
Therefore, still being fresh from vacation, I will only list the qualities that Peter mentions in Verses 5-7 and elaborate on them later. Here they are.
- Moral excellence
- Knowledge
- Self-control
- Perseverance
- Godliness
- Brotherly kindness
- Love
As I said, “It’s a servants calling.”. After all, why would I be on vacation on one of the world’s most beautiful cruise-lines conducting Bible Studies, instead of laying on a cruise bench feeling the ocean breeze against my cheeks? It is a calling.
