I’M NOT BLOGGING TODAY. I AM GOING TO FOCUS ON FINALIZING SUNDAY’s MESSAGE. Okay, I will offer this little TfTD on what I call, “Crazy Faith – Part 1”. It’s not really crazy, but it seems crazy. Here’s the thought. If you have faith in God, there is not much that you cannot do.
Faith as a bridge
The bridge in this cover photo was built in the early 60s by my father and his 4 brothers. It was composed of two telegram poles. I watched these men build it. They were rough, tough coalminers.
The deliverer brought the poles on a skip-loader and dropped the edges of the poles down the 30 ft embankment into the creek. Have you ever tried to lift one? I watched these stand in the creek, grab the poles in their arms and walk them up the embankment and nail them in place. If you asked some people that I know today, to do what they did, they would look at you like you are crazy. These men believed they could do it and they did it.
Faith by itself is powerful and faith in God is unbeatable. Don’t ask Shadrach, Meshach and. Abednego. Don’t ask Daniel in the Lion’s den. Ask me. I do have a story to tell. And it starts with making Jesus Lord and Master of your life.
Humanly speaking it sounds crazy that He said:
“…if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” (Matt: 17:20)
Okay. So, let me get back to Sunday’s sermon.
