It is good when we get the message, but it is even better when the message gets us. The message gets us when we embrace it to the point where it becomes, not just part of us, but when it consumes us. It is more than the words we speak but the life we live. WOW!

John the Baptist
I marvel at people like John the Baptist. He was his message. That is, “He was so intricately tied to the message that God gave him that he became his message. His message was wild and radical, and he himself was wild and radical. It was wild in this sense that it was outside of the framework diplomacy and genteel acceptability. His message was that way. He was that way. Matt. 3:4 says that his garment was camel’s hair. He had a leather belt around his was, and his food was locust and wild honey. He became his message and people came to hear him. But John was not the only one who waltzed with God and became his message.

John the Revelator
In Revelations 1:10 John said that he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day. He was emotionally, mental and spiritually located in the Spirit to the degree that the Spirit had him. In other words, “He got the message and then the message got him.”
There is, however, one verse that speaks to this like no other and that verse is 2 Peter 1:20&21. It says:
“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
The fact that the Holy Ghost moved and they cooperated says that they were in a waltz with God.

My Personal Testimony
I was raised in a Christian home. My father was a devout Baptist and my mother was a person who was devout in her Holiness denomination. They saw to it that I went to both Churches at I actually got the messages that came out of those Churches, but one day the messages got me. AS a teenager I made some ill-advised decisions and I paid dearly for them. I sought direction out of the messes and embraced Christ. From the day of my decision for Christ it has been a waltz with God. Sometimes He steps on my toes. Some times I step on his but I enjoy trying to move according to His leadership. Yes. I attempt to waltz with God. The message got me and so I want to tell it in a song. This song was written by Thomas Dorsey and sung by Sally Martin entitled, “I’ll Tell It Wherever I Go.”
“I’ll tell of the Savior
I’ll tell of His favor.
I’ll tell it Lord, wherever I go.
I’ll count every blessing.
I’ll go on confessing.
I’ll tell it Lord, wherever I go.
Life is uncertain. I cannot understand.
But thank Him and trust Him, and praise Him while I can.
I’ll just tell it, excel it, let all voices swell it.
I’ll tell it wherever I go.
I know Him, adore Him,
A good life I’ll show Him.
I’ll tell it wherever I go.
He’s nearest. He’s clearest.
In My life He’s dearest.
I’ll tell it wherever I go.
What He is to you, may be you cannot see
But this thing I know, He’s everything to me
‘Cause He saved me, He raised me.
Forever I’ll praise Him
I’ll tell it wherever I go.
And if I were dying with just one word to say.
I’d speak it for Jesus and breathe my life away.
‘Cause He’ll be there, meet me there,
And Go where He’ll prepare,
I’ll tell it wherever I go.”
