Racism

It should not be lost on anyone that the resident in the White House (and it is not a mispelling because I did mean to say, “resident”) made his racist comment on the eve of Dr. Martin Luther King’s holiday.

I just wanted to bring that thought to your attention. It is no accident, but far be it from me to reach a conclusion about why such vile speech is posited at this strategic time. Also, I want you to know that the purpose of this TfTD is to inform us that it is no accident that it came at this strategic time, and the reason it is important that we are informed is because there is something that is very empowering about information and I would that each of us be empowered.

Dr. Martin Luther King shared a dream in his speech. His speech was one of unification. He dreamed that the sons of former slaves and slave-owners would sit at the brotherhood. It was the epitome of unification. It was in direct contrast to the ugliness we have heard coming from the oval office.

Brothers and sisters, be informed and stay the course of Christ.

The Apostle Paul said it better than anyone I have ever said it. First he said:

“Therefore, my beloved brethren…”

Paul saw them as beloved brethren, which is the way a good leader ought to see his people, as well as those whom he wishes to become his people. He then finished his statement saying:

“Be stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. For as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
