TfTD – Not Necessarily Religious

This thought for the day is not necessarily religious but it is something for you to think about.

Above is a picture of bottles of some club sodas that I just bought from the grocery store this morning.

Have you ever thought about the hundreds of people who pick those bottles up by the rim, investigate what is in them and then put them back on the shelf and you don’t know where their hands have been?  You do not know whether they washed their hands at all and if they washed their hands you don’t know if they did an adequate job but you still buy the bottle, put it to your mouth and then drink.

As a practice, the first thing I do when I get home and take the bottles out of the bag, is wash them.

I told you that it was not necessarily a religious thought but it is a practical one.  My mother use to say that cleanliness is next to Godliness.

One of the things I enjoy doing is helping people who have been sick and are recovering because I love sanitizing the rooms that they are going to stay in when they get home.  A cleaner environment is a healthy environment.  I guess this can be a religious thought.  This is Monday morning and how refreshing it is to go to Church, hear a good message, get washed in the Word and feel great again.  No wonder .david said to God,

“Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me and restore unto me the joy of my salvation.”

Think about the positive pure energy of those words, “Create, clean, renew, right, restore, joy, salvation.” WOW”
