What Does A Party at the Home of a Christian Look like?

A friend recently shared  me a story about a party that he went to at a “Christian home”. He said that many of the attendees were regular attendees at various churches? Apparently, one of the guests came in threatening another guest, and the four-letter words puncuated his conversations with other guests at the party. Alcohol mixed with talks of sexual intimacy flowed freely and and upon departing he had some gentle but definitive words with the host. He then spoke to me about his desire to honor God in his house should he have such a gathering.https://wordpress.com/read/blogs/28313685/posts/6022
I told him that this was a lesson in, “Christian Ministry 101”. God allowed him to see a sampling of the kind of people that He calls ministers to minister to whether they are preachers, prophets, evanglists or regular Church members. God does not always call us to minister in pretty places but He does call us to minister.https://wordpress.com/read/blogs/28313685/posts/5706
Praise God!  One day I went to the old skating rink in Clinton, Maryland and when I took out my wallet to pay the entrance fee I discovered that my fee had been prepaid by one of the workers. The worker came up to me, pulled me aside and told me why he did it. He said that he watched my example on my weekly visits to the rink and was inspired by what he saw and as a result he started attending Church with his wife and is thoroughly enjoying it.  Then he said, “Thank you Perry.”. I told him that I give God the glory for anything he saw in me because what he saw was not me.
Just a couple of points.
1. God uses these experiences as training grounds to show us the lives of the people He wants us to reach and it is not pretty. Many of them serve in every area of Church organization and operation and I do mean, ” Every area”.

2. Satans ways take life.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; …”. (John 10:10a)
God’s ways give life.
“…I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10b)
